Many thanks for entering the quiz, winners were Ed Lines and Heather Smithard. Some questions were easy with a bit of googling, others required a bit of lateral thinking. The hardest question was about Quentin’s training which resulted in answers from none to well over 24 hours a week.

If you were unable to attend the Prizegiving on Friday, or did not get your Day Prize, you can contact the Entry Secretary to arrange collection. Sue will be at the White Rose and the BOC events in September (at the MDOC feather).

Wednesday 6th August

The results are now available. Apologies for the delay due to sorting out a couple of problems. Photos from the event are available on the ActivNorth website. The results are also on the Lakeland Orienteering Club website.

Tuesday 5th August

The results are now available for MDOC's Summer Evening Countryside Score Event, held on the evening before the rest day.

Since printing the event programme we have been notified that there is another ‘1500 competitor event’ on the Swindale area on Sunday as the same time. The other event follows a ‘taped route’ indicated by yellow posts. Maps will be available at the start and in the assembly area indicating the route that the other event takes; courses from the White start are unaffected and not all courses cross the route; please be courteous.

CompassPoint, Ultrasport, Tom’s/Continental Catering and O Nosh will be in attendance at each day’s event; refreshments at the Registration day will be provided by the Auction Mart, Café Ambio.

The two training maps can now be downloaded. There will be a limited supply of maps at registration / event info, but these may run out and you are recommended to download and print your own maps in advance.

Entries can be accepted from people who are neither members of BOF nor of an international O-Club.

We are providing a wide choice of event clothing, including a technical top, college hoodies, polo shirts and T-shirts. Details are available on the Merchandise page. 
The facility to pre-order items is now closed. There will be limited stock available for purchase at the event.

The last two Lakes 5 day events have suffered from severe weather issues and involved cancelling one of the day events. This year we have planned a reserve day in an effort to ensure that we have ‘5’ days of orienteering. If possible the reserve area will be used on the same day as the event it replaces however in the event of this not being possible; the reserve area may be used on the Saturday.
